Days of the week in Spanish: lunes to domingo
Spanish days of the week are written in lowercase and are all masculine. The week starts on Monday, lunes, and the course teaches the days together with the words you need to place things in time: hoy, mañana, la semana, el fin de semana.
Good to know
- Days are never capitalized: lunes, martes, miércoles.
- On Monday is el lunes: the article does the work of on. Los lunes means on Mondays.
- lunes to viernes keep the same form in the plural (los lunes); sábado and domingo add -s (los sábados).
- mañana means tomorrow, and also morning. Buenos días stays the morning greeting.
