Spanish clothes vocabulary: camisa, zapatos and more
The clothing words from the Spanish course, with their gender, and the words you need to shop for them: colors, sizes, prices and the verb comprar. Adjectives come after the noun and agree with it, so a red shirt is una camisa roja.
Good to know
- pantalón is singular even though English says pants: un pantalón azul. The plural los pantalones is just as common for one pair.
- calcetines, guantes and zapatos come in pairs, so you will mostly meet them in the plural.
- Adjectives follow the noun and agree with it: una camisa roja, unos zapatos negros.
- ¿Cuánto cuesta? for one item, ¿cuánto cuestan? for several.
