French days of the week and time words
The days of the week from the French course, with the time words that go with them: aujourd'hui, demain, hier and ce soir. Six of the seven days end in -di, and the French week starts on Monday.
Good to know
- Days are not capitalized in French: lundi, not Lundi.
- Six days end in -di (from the Latin dies, day). Dimanche is the odd one out.
- On Monday needs no preposition: On va à la plage samedi. Le samedi means every Saturday.
